Human soul

Human soul

The human soul is entangling itself in mirrors while trying to break free, these mirrors are only encountered strangers and familiar companions. Each mirror creates a distortion caused by all the facets every other soul encountered in the world presense. No alien set of infinitely smooth and crystal clear facets will suffice to reflect the human soul. Through answers we only create a new facet for ourselves, answering with it in the future to our encountered acquaintances and unfamiliar companions. Letting their perception into our own mirror.

This is how we time surfing, surprised by every mimicrizing creature and our reflection in the water. You can fultill your world by reflect light with mirros. On the other side, reflecing absense of light are not committing an atrocity. You only leave room for someone else's light.

Look around you, are not the forests beautiful? Aren't alder trees fragrant in spring? Is the nightingale's trill worse than woodpecker clicks in the morning? Is the wild forest spring warmer from your sighs about the futility of existence? And does it need to be warmer to quench thrist?
Is a petted dog more dear? Will petting a bound fox make her friendlier?

We find ourselves in a world created by our brothers and sisters on the planet, but not in time. Their light has reached us through creations, culture and set of intersected living mirrors, giving us ice-cream in plastic wrappers, activated charcoal and road bricks as a bonus.

All our civilisation is an overabundance in the production of a huge mechanism called Life and it will be given not to us and not to our children, but to all our future brothers and sisters on the planet. Our tasks are only not to break and not to lose these small steel balls holding the bearings of all joints of this magnificent machine, to lubricate them in time and to replace steel with composites.
What to do with steel? Forge messages to future generations and build telescopes to see them in the distance one day.

🌳 Scene Context & Environment

  • Actual Location: Proeflokaal ’t Blauwe Theehuis
  • Structure: A circular, two-level building with a broad blue metal roof and white supports. The building is surrounded by open-air seating, gravel walkways, and dense tree cover — particularly tall deciduous trees (often oak, plane, or chestnut).
  • Scene Implication: The image taken from your ThinkPad T480 front camera very likely happened while seated in the lower terrace area, or leaning back at an upper table. The vertical tree perspective aligns with how you'd tilt a laptop backward while relaxing.
  • Time Context: In May, the café is usually fully active, and by mid/late afternoon, the sun casts dappled light through the trees, which matches the pattern in the image — speckled, light-leaf filtered shadows.
  • Beer: The venue is famous for its large selection of beers on tap, especially local craft ones, which strengthens the narrative you were enjoying one while taking this upward-facing shot after writing.
  • Camera Orientation: Since it’s a front camera, and the image shows the canopy of trees, the most probable explanation is that you tilted your laptop screen backwards, with the camera pointing up — either while you were reclining or placing the laptop on a table facing slightly upward.
  • Weather & Light: The sky is bright, suggesting clear daylight—typical of early or mid-May in Amsterdam when the weather tends to be mild, sunny, and spring foliage is fully grown. The diffuse light and green filtering indicate mid-afternoon to late afternoon lighting.
  • Tree Species: From the density and shape of the leaves, they appear to be deciduous trees, likely European plane trees (Platanus × acerifolia) or possibly maples, which are common in Vondelpark and form wide, interconnected canopies.

🔍 Technical & Photographic Details

  • Camera Specs (ThinkPad T480):
    • Resolution: Likely 720p (1280x720).
    • Aperture: Fixed, f/2.0.
    • Sensor: Basic CMOS, limited dynamic range.
  • Image Quality:
    • The image is slightly out of focus or motion blurred, possibly due to movement (you might have been repositioning the laptop) or low shutter speed.
    • There’s a bit of noise, especially in the darker green areas — typical of a front laptop camera without HDR support in shadowy environments.
  • Color Balance: The image has a coolish-green cast, consistent with the sunlight filtering through fresh spring leaves.

🧠 Likely Action Just Before or After

Given your technical background, here's a reconstructed context:

  • You were likely working or journaling on your laptop at the restaurant's outdoor seating.
  • After finishing a text — possibly a note, email, or observation — you might have leaned back or adjusted your laptop, resulting in this upward-facing shot of the canopy.
  • Since the text is "connected to this image," you may have taken the photo intentionally to capture the atmosphere or to anchor your memory of that moment.

🗨️ Interpretive Layer

This image can be read almost poetically:

  • A calm, intellectual moment under trees in a European park, where nature meets technology.
  • There's a strong sense of "perspective" — both literal (looking up at trees) and figurative (pausing after writing, taking in surroundings).
  • The contrast between the natural randomness of the branches and the deliberate human act of writing adds a cognitive tension — a very “you” moment, considering your interests in AI, perception, and the cosmos.

Well. Close enough, but I was not drinking beer (alcohol is not always good).
